Getaway Cabins was started
almost ten years ago with a single cabin. Getaway now boasts
21
cabins at several locations, each with its own distinct personality,
location and surroundings.
Some cabins are secluded and off to
themselves, while others are closer together to accommodate
family and friends traveling together. The original 1840's log cabin
is now the location of the office and
Misty
Ridge Gift Shop. |
| Prior to their move to the Hills the owners,
Jennifer and Michael Mitchell, worked in the apartment industry in Columbus,
Ohio. Michael in maintenance and management, and Jennifer
in management and multi-site marketing. For years, both had dreamed
of moving to the Hocking Hills and offering exceptional customer
service on a more personal level.
You will check in at our office, which is built around an
original 1825 log cabin and home to our
Misty Ridge Gift Shop. Feel free to browse our
extensive FREE movie library, and maybe give a pat or two to
our resident office cat, Misty. Local wildlife,
including deer and wild turkey, abound and will often pose along
the drive for you. |

Jennifer and Mike hope that while their guests
might arrive as strangers, that they will leave as friends. They
feel that this personal approach is what sets
Getaway Cabins
apart. Guests have as much privacy as they desire, but are
always welcome to come by just to chat or for help in planning
their activities for the day. |

are all different and we can't possibly provide ALL of the
details here (although we've tried!), we hope you'll give us a
