Fine Dining in Hocking Hills
The Grouse Nest is within just a couple miles of
our locations, and is just around the corner from Ash Cave. Reservations are not required, but are
recommended on Saturdays in the Summer and Fall. There is no dress code, and there is a “Jack in the
Pulpit” WIFI lounge available. The Grouse Nest is open year round, but you will want to double check
their hours in the Winter. They are always closed on Mondays. We love their Venison Nachos for lunch
and their Surf & Turf for dinner! You can also have the Grouse Nest Traveling Chef come to prepare a
meal in your cabin…the ultimate intimate meal!
The
Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls is also just around the corner by Cedar Falls.
They offer three-course gourmet meals, and guests can watch their meals being prepared in the open air kitchen.
They are open all year, but check their website for seasonal schedule. Reservations are required. Lisa swears
by their Chicken Salad Sandwich and Jennifer is a big fan of their Angus Burger for lunch! Their Ultimate
Chocolate Brownie is to die for!

In Logan, which is about 15 miles and a 25 minute drive, you have more alternatives.
La Cascada is an authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious Mexican food, plus steaks & seafood.
They are open every day, 11-10 pm. Carry-out is available. Again, no website, but you can reach
them at 740-380-6803. Moy yummy!
Millstone BBQ is open seven days a week and year round.
Their Southern Smoked BBQ meats are all smoked on site for fifteen to seventeen hours.
Appetizers, salads, soups, specials and a kids menu are also offered. Jen had never had a
“Deep Fried Pickle” before, but she loves theirs!

Also just around the corner are two more alternatives…
The Hocking Hills Dining Lodge offers a breakfast on the weekends,
and a lunch and dinner buffet plus full menu Open April 1 - Oct. 31.
They do not have a website, but can be reached at 740-385-6495.
Grandma Faye’s Carryout is the closest location for groceries and most
anything that you’ve forgotten. They also make great pizzas (no delivery,
though!) and have wonderful $4.00 lunch specials. They have a few picnic
tables to eat at out front…other than that, it’s take-out only. They have
great Ribeye Steaks if you want to pick up something to prepare on your grill!
Their ice cream and milkshakes are great too.
