This is a fun family affair time! Our hearty meal includes your choice of Potato-Leek Soup or Spinach Salad w/Dried Cranberries, Red Onion, Toasted Hazelnuts & Roasted Pear Vinaigrette. Select one entree from Honey Glazed Ham w/Pineapple Chutney or Slow Cooked Turkey Breast, w/Garlic-Shallot Pan Gravy or Pan Roasted Salmon w/Orange-Cranberry Marmalade or Herb Seared Pork Chop w/Plum Glaze. Side dishes include Brown Butter Sweet Potatoes, Chive Mashed Potatoes, Steamed Baby Green Beans and Sage Stuffing. And, one dessert selection of either Pumpkin Cheesecake, Maple-Pecan Pie or traditional Pumpkin Pie.

Stop in Nelsonville's Historic Square Arts District to finish shopping with unique one-of-a-kind gifts of handmade art that can't be found at the malls. Santa Trains
Take a train ride with Santa Claus. The jolly old elf and his helper will board at the depot and share the ride with you. During the trip, Santa will visit individually with each child. Santa's elf will have a special candy treat for each child. The train is heated and decorated for the holiday.
Holiday Trail of Lights at Lake Hope State Park
Open every day in December! Hike through the forest to view our 100,000+ light display, including animated scenes, decorated trees and landscape lighting, some activated by your motion. Start at the Nature Center. On Dec. 3, 9, 10, 16 & 17 the Nature Center will be open from 6 to 8 pm and Santa will be here to greet the little ones.
North Pole Express
Come in your pajamas and robes to ride a heated and decorated train. Hot chocolate and cookies served. Souvenir bell for each child. After the ride, follow the conductor across the street to North Pole Nelsonville (sponsored by the City of Nelsonville) for a visit with Santa, a walk through North Pole Nelsonville and free skating.
A Taste of Dickens...at Glenlaurel Inn
A Dickens Dinner makes Christmas magical! Glenlaurel's estate looks like a Christmas card come to life. Each Sunday and Wednesday in December, join us for our traditional and festive Dickens Dinner. Between courses, there will be readings from the classic Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol."
The six-course dinner is a tribute to the traditional dining choices of Victorian England & Scotland. Please join us for an evening you won't soon forget.
Christmas in Ash Cave
Step away from the hectic holiday season and come bundled for the weather while enjoying a lighted stroll back to Ash Cave. Once you arrive at the cave, warm with refreshments by an open fire. Listen to our holiday music, have the kids visit with an old fashioned Santa or help to decorate our Christmas tree for wildlife.
New Year Train
Celebrate the New Year with a train ride, fireworks and lots of fun. Choose to ride in a car serving wine and cheese OR you may sit in a car serving Pepsi and pizza. The train stops for a fireworks display at midnight before returning to the depot.
