“Sweet Sounds in Ash Cave” will feature Performing Musicians of the Columbus Symphony.
The date of the performance is Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 3:00pm at Ash Cave State Park. The concert will feature both contemporary and classic symphonic sounds, along with Native American Flutist Jim Akins.
A suggested donation of $10 per person at the venue will jointly benefit the Friends of the Hocking Hills State Park and the Symphony Musicians.
Prior to the performance, enjoy a picnic lunch and meet the musicians up close and in person. Join us for “ Picnic with the Musicians” at the Ash Cave State Park Shelter House between 1:00am and 2:00pm. The cost is $25 per person, $35 per couple, or $50 per family of up to four. Space is limited, so please RSVP by August 10th to 740-380-2039.
Parking will be limited at Ash Cave State Park. After 1:00pm, please make use of the two Satellite Parking Areas. The Bus & Van schedule from these areas will be as follows:
Hocking Hills State Park Office, next to Old Man’s Cave . Please park in the Old Man’s Cave parking lot, and walk to the Park Office to meet the buses. Buses will depart at 1:00pm, 1:15pm, 1:45pm, 2:00pm, and 2:30pm.
Cedar Falls State Park Parking Lot. Vans will depart at 1:45pm, 2:00pm, 2:15pm, and 2:30pm.
Return trips from Ash Cave to both Satellite Parking Areas will be at 4:30pm and 5:00pm from Ash Cave.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and a picnic basket. Please note that this is a TRASH FREE event…anything that you carry in with you, will need to be carried back out.
